One of my all time favorite sandwiches is a Philly Cheesesteak. I absolutely love them, but I do get bored with the same foods time after time. I like to change things up a bit. The colder weather is the perfect time to make casseroles and this is the one I knew I had to make.
Seeing as how I do have a love affair with the Philly Cheesesteak. This recipe is so simple I surprised myself.
All the flavor that is loved about a Philly Cheesesteak is in this dish for you to enjoy. The casserole is comforting, savory, filling and fabulous. The sauce is going to bring each layer of flavor together in a great dish.

The melted Cheese on top is going to be brown and bubbly, just the way it should be.
How can I reheat this casserole?
The casserole should be placed on a baking tray and placed in a low temp oven to reheat. You could also serve up a single serving and use a toaster oven or microwave to heat the serving up.
What type of beef should I use?
The recipe calls for ground beef. The ground beef, when mixed with other ingredients, is going to taste just like it should be expected.
Could I use a different flavor of cheese?
You can use a spicier or sharper flavored cheese. I have swapped out the provolone for Pepper Jack Cheese. I just want to advise against using shredded cheese for this dish.
