1 pound Shrimp deveined and peeled
8 ounces Linguines, cooked according to package directions, drain, rinse and set to the side
4 tsp Garlic, freshly minced
1 tbsp Olive Oil
½ tsp Oregano
¼ cup White Cooking wine
½ cup Chicken Broth
¼ cup Parsley, chopped
2 tbsp Basil, freshly chopped
4 tbsp Butter
1/2 yellow onion, diced
½ tsp Salt
¼ tsp Black Pepper
How to make this Shrimp Scampi with Spaghetti:
Step 1. Add oil and 2 tbsp butter to a skillet over medium high heat
Step 2. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper and add to the skillet
Step 3. Cook the shrimp until it is no longer translucent
Step 4. Remove the shrimp and set to the side
Step 5. Add the remaining butter and the onions to the skillet
Step 6. Saute until the onions are soft
Step 7. Add in the minced garlic and saute another 30 seconds
Step 8. Stir in the cooking wine and cook until the liquid is reduced by half
Step 9. Mix in the chicken broth, oregano, and parsley
Step 10. Add the cooked linguine and the Shrimp
Step 11. Toss to coat
Step 12. Serve hot!
