The flavor is similar. If at all possible, find actual crab meat that your can use for the most authentic flavor. You may be able to find some crab at the local meat market, if not use the freshest that can be found near you.

There is often a combination of fish in imitation crab. This means it is often a whitefish that is combined with a starch and then made to look like a crab leg.
What is the best way to serve this?
I generally scoop some of the Seafood Salad on a croissant or hoagie roll. The croissant makes it light for the perfect lunch.
Ingredients:
½ to ¾ cup Celery, diced small
1 pound Crab meat, (can use imitation crab)
2.25 ounce can of sliced Black Olives
½ cup mayonnaise
¼ tsp Black pepper
½ tsp Dill
½ tsp Paprika
¼ tsp Salt
How To Make Seafood Salad :
Step 1. In a medium sized bowl combine the mayonnaise with the salt, pepper, paprika and dill
Step 2. Stir to combine
Step 3. Add in the black olives and celery and stir
Step 4. Gently fold in the Crab meat
Step 5. Combine and spoon onto a croissant or other roll.
Step 6. Serve and enjoy!
