Instant Pot Chicken Parmesan recipe is perfect for any occasion and can be eaten a few different ways.

It’s a healthy option to bring to a cookout as the winter months are ahead. And so easy to throw together with not a ton of ingredients or time spent in the kitchen. Spending less time in the kitchen and more time with family is always the better way to go.

WHAT INGREDIENTS YOU NEED TO MAKE THIS INSTANT POT CHICKEN PARMESAN:
1 tsp virgin olive oil
1 Tbsp minced garlic
1 ½ C spicy marinara sauce
3 Tbsp grated parmesan cheese
Black pepper
4 thinly sliced chicken breasts
½+ tsp kosher salt
½ tsp dried oregano
4oz mozzarella cheese (grated
Garnish:
Basil (chopped)
HOW TO MAKE THIS INSTANT POT CHICKEN PARMESAN:
Step 1. Add olive oil to the inner pot of the instant pot,
Step 2. Set to the saute’ on low.
Step 3. Heat the olive oil.
Step 4. Add garlic, stir for about 2 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 5. Add marinara sauce, 2 tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese, and ¼ teaspoon of pepper.
Step 6. Stir well to blend ingredients.
Step 7. Increase heat to medium.
Step 8. Sprinkle salt, pepper, and oregano on both sides of the thinly sliced chicken breast.
Step 9. Place the chicken breasts on top of the marinara sauce.
Step 10. Try not to place the chicken on top of each other.
Step 11. Spoon the marinara sauce over the chicken.
Step 12. Lock the Instant lid in place.
Step 13. Cook on low pressure for 3 minutes.
Step 14. Manual releases the pressure.
Step 15. Top the chicken with Mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese.
Step 16. Put the lid on the Instant Pot.
Step 17. Do Not lock the lid.
Step 18. Allow the Instant Pot to sit for 4-5 minutes. (This will melt the cheese.)
For extra crispness:
Step 1. Move the rack about 4 inches away from the broiler.
Step 2. Prep a baking sheet with nonstick baking spray.
Step 3. Carefully move each chicken breast covered with marinara sauce and topped with cheese.
(Try not to remove the baked cheese from each chicken breast.)
Step 4. Garnish with chopped basil.
