The wonderful flavor of grilled shrimp is phenomenal. When you season these same shrimp with a combination of Garlic Butter and herbs, you take the flavor to a much higher level. The Shrimp becomes a centerpiece rather than an appetizer or side dish. This recipe is the perfect one to celebrate the arrival of summer or even late spring.
The grill comes out and very seldom is any food cooked indoors during the nice weather.
This dish should be the first on your grill for the year. You want to grab shrimp that is jumbo sized or large medium shrimp. The shrimp should be marinated in your favorite blend. This helps the shrimp maintain ultimate flavor.
You could pair this shrimp up with steamed rice, cauliflower rice or grill up a bunch of fresh vegetables to enjoy with the Shrimp.
How do I store the shrimp?
The shrimp should be placed into an airtight container or in a ziploc bag. The bag or container can then be placed into the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Seafood should not be expected to last any longer than that.
Should I use foil on the grill?
I would place the skewers directly on the grill. The skewers may darken however, they will not be on the grill long enough to come close to burning.
What makes this a special dish?
Shrimp is considered a special food, seafood that is not eaten as often as it should be. Shrimp can be slightly more expensive to many budgets. The cost is worth it, trust me!!
