This recipe turns out to be one of the best tasting meals you will ever have! It is called the packet roast since you will use three packets of seasoning when you prepare this roast for cooking. The flavors all blend together to make this a comforting meal, that is cooked all in one baking pan.
The roast comes out flavorful, tender and juicy, and is then combined with roasted potatoes and carrots to complete the meal.
The meat could be switched to a Pork Roast if you prefer. I believe the recipe is quite versatile and am actually trying this one with a whole chicken tonight. This recipe will save you a lot of time. You can set the Crockpot up and ready, then add your ingredients after lightly seasoning the roast with salt and pepper. Turn the heat to high and cook for 4 hours.
You could add Baby Potatoes, carrots, and onions to the crockpot in the last hour of cooking. This will make the dish a complete meal with no extra cleaning to be done. You could also make the potatoes and carrots separately if you choose to. A green side salad can be added as a side dish.
Can I use a pork roast or another type of meat?
You could try this recipe with any type of meat you would like. Experiment, however, you need to try it with a beef roast at least one time to see why I am creating such a hype over this one.
Do the flavor packets all taste good together?
When the packets are combined and then poured over the Roast to cook over time, they blend together and give you a meat that is not only perfectly seasoned, it tastes wonderful.
Can I freeze the food that is left after a meal?
Of course you can! Place the food in an airtight container once it cools completely, then place it in the freezer for up to 4 months.
How long will the leftovers last in the refrigerator?
Once placed into an airtight container, the food will last in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
