Can I substitute Turkey for Chicken?
You could definitely substitute the Turkey in place of the Chicken. Both meats are poultry and will taste excellent in the Soup.
Can I use Bone Broth in place of Chicken Broth?
Bone Broth is an excellent choice when it comes to making Chicken and Dumplings. Bone broth has nutritional benefits that are not found in Chicken Broth.
What can I serve with this Chicken and Dumplings meal?
This dish is a complete meal in itself. You really do not need to make any sides with it. However, you can serve a side salad or steamed vegetables.

Ingredients:
6 Chicken Thighs, boneless, skinless
1 Onion, diced
2 tbsp Parsley, fresh
1 tsp Poultry Seasoning
2 cups Chicken Broth
1 can Cream Of Chicken Soup
1 can Cream of Celery Soup
2 cup Vegetables, frozen and mixed
1 tube Buttermilk Biscuit Dough
Salt and Pepper to taste
How To Make Chicken And Dumplings In A Crock Pot
Step 1. In your crockpot, layer the onions on the bottom of the crock
Step 2. Place the Chicken thighs on top of the onions
Step 3. In a mixing bowl add in the Cream of Celery Soup and the Cream of Chicken Soup
Step 4. Add in 1 tsp Poultry Seasoning
Step 5. Sprinkle in the 2 tbsp chopped Parsley
Step 6. Season with Salt and Pepper
Step 7. Whisk all these ingredients together in the bowl
Step 8. Pour this mix over the Chicken thighs in the crock pot
Step 9. Add 2 cups of Chicken Broth
Step 10. Cover the crockpot and set the temperature on high for 5 hours
Step 11. When there is 1 hour of cooking time remaining, open the lid, add the thawed mixed vegetables to the crockpot
Step 12. As you are mixing the vegetables in, shred the chicken thighs as you stir
Step 13. Open the can of biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into 4 slices lengthwise
Step 14. Layer the biscuit dough on top of the soup in the crockpotCover once again and let the biscuits cook for that hour
Step 15. Once the hour is done, stir the entire crockpot of soup, mixing the biscuits
Step 16. Serve hot and garnish with fresh chopped Parsley
