Ideal for game day, movie night or anytime you want something meaty, hearty and crispy, you just have to try this beef nachos recipe. Taco Bell nachos aren’t bad and restaurant nachos can be pretty good. But this recipe for nachos is in a league of its own. Served warm from the oven, this is the kind of snack everyone will want to dig into. It doesn’t have to be Superbowl Sunday to make these nachos. With a recipe this good, you’re sure to find all kinds of occasions to make them, special or regular ones!
One of the best things about making nachos is you get the choice of toppings. Beef is of course a great idea and nachos usually have cheese along with sour cream, guacamole and maybe some refried beans too. And then there are optional toppings to choose from as well, and anything from sliced black olives to cilantro complements their flavor. Some nachos fans like to dial up the heat by adding sliced jalapenos, either fresh or canned.
This epic nachos recipe is going to be the highlight of your afternoon, evening, buffet, or whatever meal or occasion you’re making them for. As long as you choose thick, sturdy tortilla chips (not the thin ones that will snap when you’re trying to scoop up the nachos toppings), there’s nothing that can go wrong. This is a recipe that’s easy to follow and perfect for Tex-Mex food lovers.
Why You’ll Love the Recipe ?
These nachos are the ultimate in flavor and crunch. Served hot from the oven, nobody is going to be able to resist munching on them. They’re great for any occasion and go really well with a Mexican beer or margarita.
How to Serve Them ?
These are best served hot from the oven, paired with any drink you like. Don’t forget the napkins – these can be a little messy to eat!
Can You Make Them Ahead ?
Nachos are best served fresh from the oven. If you assemble them in advance you’ll find the juices from the beef and refried beans make the chips soggy and that’s the opposite of what you want! What you can do ahead is cook the beef mixture and then keep that separate from the chips until cooking.
Storage Instructions :
Nachos don’t really keep very well because they get soggy, so if you aren’t feeding a crowd, you might want to halve the recipe.
