When this Pie first began at the famous Big Boy Restaurant, it seemed everyone was stopping in just for the pie. This pie became the signature food for the Restaurant.
Understandably so, it was filled with strawberries, a perfect gelatin with the strawberries and the flakiest crust I had ever tasted at that time.
It really seemed that no matter what you knew, this pie tasted so fresh, as though it had just been made.
Although, we all knew that it had come from the freezer at the restaurant. What makes this pie so special is that it tastes just like what my Grandma would make.
