This 3-Ingredient Chicken Charleston is a wonderfully simple main course that combines tender bone-in chicken thighs, sweet onions, and flavorful Russian dressing. With only three ingredients, it is an easy recipe to prepare when you want a hearty homemade meal without a long ingredient list.

The sliced sweet onions cook underneath the chicken, becoming soft and flavorful as they absorb the juices from the chicken and the tangy dressing. The Russian dressing coats the chicken as it bakes, creating a rich, savory-sweet sauce that helps keep the chicken moist and flavorful.

This recipe is especially convenient because most of the cooking happens in a single baking dish. After the covered baking time, the chicken is uncovered and baked again until the skin becomes beautifully browned and the meat reaches a safe temperature. Serve the chicken hot with plenty of the tender onions and flavorful pan sauce for a comforting, satisfying meal.
