One-Pot Cheeseburger Pasta Skillet

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb. ground beef 95 % lean
  • 1 ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 C chicken broth
  • 1 can 14.5 oz fire roasted diced tomatoes
  • 1 package 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 1 ½ C low-fat cheddar cheese shredded
  • 2 scallions thinly sliced

Method
 

  1. Prep a large nonstick skillet with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Heat skillet on medium-high heat.
  3. Add ground beef cooking until it has browned. (5-7 minutes)
  4. While cooking, crumble the ground beef into small pieces.
  5. Add the garlic powder and smoked paprika into the browned beef.
  6. Stir to mix well.
  7. Continue to cook for an additional 30 seconds.
  8. Stir in the broth, tomatoes, macaroni, and salt to the skillet.
  9. Bring to a simmer.
  10. Cook for about 15 minutes, stirring often, until the macaroni is tender and the sauce has thickened.
  11. Take the skillet off of the stove.
  12. Add in the cheddar cheese, stirring until blended and melted.
  13. Serve in 6 evenly divided portions.
