Ground Beef Lo Mein

This dish is economical, and the family will love it. Once you make this dish at home, you will never feel the need to go to a restaurant for the same dish.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 ounces Angel Hair Spaghetti
  • 1 pound Ground Beef lean
  • 1 stalk Celery sliced
  • ½ cup Red Onion sliced thin
  • 1/2 cup Carrots shredded
  • 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp Garlic minced
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp Salt
For the Sauce:
  • 1 tbsp Rice Cooking Wine
  • 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp Sesame Oil

Method
 

  1. 1. Boil the Pasta according to package directions, drain and rinse
    2. In a skillet over medium high heat, crumble and brown the ground beef
    3. Drain excess grease from the skillet
    4. Add the Soy Sauce, Sugar, Salt, celery, onion and garlic, along with the carrots
    5. Saute until the vegetables have softened
    6. Mix in the pasta and stir well
    7. In a small bowl combine the Rice Cooking Wine, Soy Sauce and Sesame Oil. Stir to blend
    8. Pour over the noodles, meat and vegetables
    9. Toss to combine
    10. Enjoy!

Notes

What can I use for LoMein noodles?
If you do not have actual loMein noodles, you can use Angel Hair Spaghetti. This pasta is pretty close to the same and is interchangeable.
