Ingredients
Method
- 1. In a small bowl or cup, place the warm water and stir in the Active Dry Yeast2. Let rest 3. Add the Buttermilk and the milk to a microwave safe bowl4. Heat in the microwave until the milks are both warm (it is fine if the buttermilk separates)5. Stir 2 tbsp softened butter into the milk6. In a larger bowl combine the milk mixture with the yeast, sugar, salt and 1 cup of flour7. Using a dough hook, beat on high until the mix is combined and smooth8. Add the egg to the bowl and continue to mix9. Slowly add the remainder of the four and mix until the dough pulls away from the bowl10. Flour the dough with a bit of flour and shape into a ball11. Cover the dough and let it rise for one hour12. Roll the dough on a floured surface to about a width of ½ inch13. Cut the dough into 12 rectangular shaped sections, evenly14. Fold the ends of each rectangle under and it will form a roll shape15. Place the dough on a pastry mat or parchment covered pan for 20 minutes to rise. 16. Preheat the oven to 400*17. Bake the rolls for 15 minutes or until just lightly browned18. Brush the tops with melted butter19. In a small bowl combine the ingredients for the Cinnamon Honey Butter20. Mix well until they are completely incorporated.
Notes
Should I serve these rolls warm or room temperature?
To enjoy the full force of what these rolls are, they should be eaten right out of the oven. Cool enough to touch, but still hot!
