Taco Salad

This Taco Salad is the best Taco salad there ever is, ever will be and ever could be. The recipe comes out smooth and perfectly spiced.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Packet Taco Seasoning
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 onion diced
  • 1 cup Cheese shredded (you can use Cheddar, Taco Blend, or a Mexican Blend)
  • 1 bag Lettuce shredded
  • 1 tomato diced
  • 1 cucumber chopped
  • Sour Cream and Salsa for Garnish

Method
 

  1. 1. In a skillet over medium high heat, crumble and brown the ground beef and onion
    2. Drain the excess fat from the skillet
    3. Stir in the Taco Seasoning and stir to combine
    4. Saute for 3 to 4 minutes
    5. Place shredded lettuce in the serving dishes
    6. Top with cucumber, tomatoes and shredded cheese
    7. Add a spoon of meat mixture
    8. Top with more shredded cheese
    9. Garnish with Salsa and Sour Cream if desired
    10. Top with added toppings such as olives or guacamole.

Notes

Why is there cucumber in a Taco Salad?
Surprisingly, this recipe does include cucumber and it blends in well with this Taco Salad. The cucumber makes this seem to be a refreshing salad.
