Praline Popcorn

This is the recipe you need to mark and keep handy guys! No more having boring popcorn, this is buttery, caramel covered and toasted pralines mixed in the popcorn.

Ingredients
  

  • ¾ cup brown sugar packed
  • ½ cup butter
  • ¼ cup light corn syrup
  • 2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp Baking Soda
  • 8 cups Popcorn popped
  • 2 cups Pecans halved

Method
 


  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 250*
    2. In a large bowl combine the popcorn and the pecan halves
    3. In a large saucepan over medium high heat add in the butter, corn syrup and brown sugar
    4. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly
    5. Once boiling, remove from the heat and stir in Vanilla extract and baking soda
    6. Pour over the popcorn and the pecans, toss to coat
    7. Transfer to a baking sheet with a rim and spread out evenly
    8. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes, stirring about every 10 minutes
    9. Immediately spread the popcorn out on parchment paper or aluminum foil to cool off
    10. When the popcorn is cooled, break it apart and enjoy!

Notes

Can I use a different type of nut?
You could but it will not be the same flavor. Pralines are one of the things that makes this popcorn so special.
