- 1. Pour the Sauerkraut into the crockpot, undrained2. After washing the potatoes and cutting into chunks, place the chunks on top of the Sauerkraut3. Then layer the Polish Sausage chunks on top of the potatoes4. In a small bowl combine the Chicken Broth with the Caraway seed and the Bay leaf, stir to mix5. Pour this mix over the ingredients in the crockpot6. Sprinkle with Salt and Pepper to taste7. Cover the Crockpot, turn the heat to high8. Cook for 4 hours9. Remove the Bay leaf10. Stir well before serving

Can I use Kielbasa rather than Polish Sausage?
You will find that when you are shopping for Polish Sausage, you will see Kielbasa. Technically, Kielbasa is the Polish term for Sausage. So you would be using the same type of meat. You could, however, use a Smoked Sausage or a Ring Bologna.
