Philly Cheesesteak Casserole

One of my all time favorite sandwiches is a Philly Cheesesteak. I absolutely love them, but I do get bored with the same foods time after time.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ lb. Ground beef
  • 1 green bell pepper chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper chopped
  • ½ yellow onion diced
  • 1 tsp Seasoned Salt
  • 2 tsp Garlic freshly minced
  • 8 slices Provolone Cheese
  • ¼ cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce

Method
 

  1. 1.Preheat the oven to 350*
    2.Brush Olive Oil in the bottom of a 9x9 baking dish
    3.In a skillet over medium high heat, crumble the ground beef
    4.Begin to cook the beef and then add in the onions and the peppers
    5.Season with the Seasoning Salt
    6.Continuing cooking until the beef is no longer pink
    7.Drain the grease
    8.Add the Garlic and saute for about 1 minute
    9.Spoon the beef into the bottom of the baking dish
    10.Top the ground beef mixture with the cheese slices
    11.In a bowl, combine the whipping cream, eggs and Worcestershire Sauce, whisk together well
    12.Pour over the cheese slices
    13.Place in the oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until cooked through

Notes

How can I reheat this casserole?
The casserole should be placed on a baking tray and placed in a low temp oven to reheat. You could also serve up a single serving and use a toaster oven or microwave to heat the serving up.
