PHILLY CHEESE STEAK SLOPPY JOES

Sloppy Joes are a favorite in many households. This recipe will only add to the love. The sweet, savory and slightly spicy kick of a Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joe is so different that you will fall in love with sloppy Joe’s all over again.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Onion yellow medium sized, diced
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper diced
  • 1 Green bell Pepper diced
  • 3 pounds Ground Beef
  • ¼ cup Worcestershire Sauce
  • 3 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 ½ cups Beef Broth
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 3 tsp Garlic freshly minced
  • 8 Burger Buns
  • 8 slices Mozzarella

Method
 

  1. 1. In a skillet over medium high heat, crumble and brown the ground beef
    2. When no longer pink, drain the grease and add in the red and green peppers, onions and garlic
    3. Continue cooking over medium heat until the onions and peppers have softened
    4. Add in the Beef Broth Worcestershire Sauce, Balsamic Vinegar and the salt and pepper
    5. Bring the meat mixture to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes
    6. Spoon the meat mixture on the bottom bun and top with a slice of Mozzarella Cheese
    7. Cover with top bun and serve hot!

Notes

Should I use Steak that has been sliced thin?
No, this recipe calls for Ground beef. I use the leanest ground beef I can get. Ground beef is the perfect substitute when you are making these Sloppy Joes.
