- 1. Preheat the oven to 300*
2. In a large bowl combine the Cream cheese and the butter until it is smooth
3. Add in the eggs and beat after each one
4. Add the sour cream and beat once more to combine
5. Add in Corn Starch, lemon juice, lemon zest, vanilla and sugar
6. Beat until combined and smooth
7. Grease a 9 inch Springform pan
8. Pour the batter into the greased pan
9. Place in the oven and bake for 2 hours, 15 minutes
10. Let cool for 3 hours after removing from the oven
11. Place in the refrigerator for a minimum of one hour before serving.
Notes
Why no crust with this Cheesecake?
An authentic Cheesecake will most often not have a crust. The Cheesecake is made in a Springform pan that has been sprayed. There really is no crust needed.
