My Mom’s Fudge

This is the perfect fudge recipe for the holidays, for gift giving, for parties or because you love fudge.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 ½ cups Granulated Sugar
  • ¾ cup Butter
  • cup Evaporated Milk
  • 12 ounces Chocolate chips
  • 7 ounces marshmallow fluff
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Method
 

  1. 1. In a saucepan over medium heat add the butter, sugar and evaporated milk
    2. Stir continuously until the sugar and butter have all melted
    3. Bring to a boil while continuing to stir
    4. Once boiling, reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes
    5. Remove from the heat and add the chocolate chips, stirring until they completely melt
    6. Using a whisk stir in the marshmallow fluff and the vanilla extractPour the mixture into a 9x9 pan that has been lined with wax paper or aluminum foil
    7. Place in the refrigerator and let set for several hours before slicing and serving

Notes

Can I add nuts to the recipe?
You can certainly toss in a handful of walnuts that have been chopped. You could put some on top also before the fudge sets completely.
