Million Dollar Spaghetti Casserole

This is a Spaghetti that millions of people love, probably why so many people call it Million Dollar Spaghetti. This simple Spaghetti Casserole is easy to make and tastes great. The recipe is versatile enough that you can alter it to suit your tastes.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 jar Spaghetti Sauce (your choice of flavor)
  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 1 pound Spaghetti noodles cooked according to package directions
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese softened
  • 8 ounces Cottage Cheese
  • ¼ cup Sour Cream
  • ½ cup butter melted
  • Parmesan Cheese to taste

Method
 

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 350*
    2. Grease the bottom of the 9x13 baking dish with the butter
    3. Cook the Spaghetti according to package directions
    4. In a skillet over medium high heat, crumble and brown the ground beef, drain the excess fat
    5. Mix the Spaghetti Sauce with the ground beef
    6. In a medium bowl combine the Sour Cream, Cottage Cheese and Cream Cheese, Stir to combine well
    7. Place half of the cooked spaghetti in the bottom of the baking dish
    8. Spread the cheese and sour cream mixture over the noodles
    9. Cover the Cheese and Sour Cream with the other half of the noodles
    10. Spoon the Spaghetti Sauce and meat mix over the Spaghetti noodles
    11. Bake for 30 minutes
    12. Remove the pan from the oven and add the Parmesan cheese to the top
    13. Bake for another 15 minutes

Notes

Can I use a different pasta?
I would not consider that because other pastas will not hold the sauce as well. Some pastas will over cook while in the oven, some will not cook enough. The pasta needs to be able to hold up to the sauce.
