- 1. Preheat the oven to 350*2. In a skillet over medium high heat, crumble the ground beef and cook until no longer pink.3. Drain the grease from the skillet4. Add in the taco seasoning and tomatoes.5. Stir to combine well6. Lightly spray a 9x13 baking pan with non-stick spray7. Place half of the tortillas in the bottom of the pan, they will overlap some8. Spoon the ground beef onto the layer of tortillas9. Top with the other half of the tortillas10. Spread salsa over the top layer of tortillas11. Sprinkle with the shredded cheesePlace on the center rack in the oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly12. Remove from the oven and serve hot13. Top with your choice of toppings, this could be sour cream, salsa, lettuce, tomatoes, olives or just more cheese.
Notes
What type of tortilla should I use?
I use Flour tortillas as they seem to work best for me in this dish. I have a sister who prefers to use corn tortillas. You could try both and see which you prefer.
