Italian Drunken Noodles

Strangely enough, thisdish combines two forms of cuisine. One is Chinese and the other is Italian. It makes a wild and delicious combination of flavors that is not only unique, the dish is loved by many.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound Ground Italian Sausage
  • 16 ounce Egg Noodles cooked Al dente
  • 2 medium Green Peppers cleaned and diced
  • 28 ounces Diced Tomatoes in can with juice
  • 3 tsp Garlic freshly minced
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Basil dried
  • ½ cup White Cooking Wine
  • Parmesan Cheese grated
  • Parsley fresh chopped
  • Salt and pepper if desired

Method
 

  1. 1. In a skillet over medium high heat, add the sausage and the peppers to the skillet, Cook thoroughly
    2. Lower the temperature to low medium and add in Italian seasoning and minced garlic saute for 30 seconds
    3. Add in the white cooking wine and simmer until the liquid is reduced by half
    4. Pour in the tomatoes with the juice from the can
    5. Add in the dried Basil, salt and pepper
    6. Gently stir in the cooked noodles and stir to combine
    7. Continue to heat until the dish is heated through
    8. Top with the chopped Parsley and Parmesan Cheese

Notes

What should I serve as a side dish?
A green side salad would even out the heaviness from the pasta. However, adding any steamed or roasted vegetable such as broccoli is an excellent choice.
