Method
- Add ground beef, ground turkey breast, onion, carrots, celery, and garlic to a Dutch oven.
- Continue to cook until the meat is browned and the onions are tender.
- Drain the fat from the meat before adding more ingredients.
- Add in the broth, undrained tomatoes, and all of the seasonings to the Dutch oven.
- Stir to blend.
- Bring to a boil, add the potato chunks and reduce to a simmer.
- Mix well.
- Continue to simmer for at least 20 minutes.
- Check the potato chunks to make sure that they are tender.
- If not, continue to simmer.
- If tender, serve in bowls garnishing with fresh sage. (If desired)
