Fried Rice with Shrimp

You no longer have to order your favorite foods as take out. This recipe is easy to make and tastes even better than you believe it could.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups Rice cooked
  • 1 pound Medium Shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups Peas and carrots frozen, but thawed
  • 2 tbsp Green onions sliced
  • 1 tbsp Garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 tsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 Egg large, whisked

Method
 

  1. 1. Wash and rinse the shrimp, then set to the side
    2. Cook your rice as directed on the package, then set to the side
    3. In a skillet over medium heat, add 1 tbsp Oil and then add the minced Garlic
    4. Saute for 1 minute
    5. Add the shrimp to the skillet with the peas and Carrots
    6. Cook for 5 minutes
    7. In a small bowl combine the Soy Sauce and the Sesame Oil
    8. Add the white rice to the skillet
    9. Pour the Soy Sauce mixture over the Rice and stir to blend
    10. Saute for 4 minutes
    11. Move the fried rice to the side and add in the beaten egg
    12. Cook until the egg is done then combine the rice and egg together
    13. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately!

Notes

What should I serve as a side dish?
There really is no need to add any additional sides. This dish is a meal by itself. However, some of the common sides would include egg rolls, wontons, or dumplings.
