Crab and Shrimp Seafood Bisque

This Seafood Bisque is made with Sweet crab and shrimp, yet has savory undertones from celery and onions.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • cup Green Onion
  • cup Celery
  • 3 tbsp Flour
  • 1 ½ cups Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 2 cups Whole Milk
  • 1 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 1 tsp Old Bay Seasoning
  • Salt and Pepper if desired to taste
  • 8 ounces Shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 8 ounces Crab Meat

Method
 

  1. 1. In a saucepan over medium high heat, melt the butter
    2. Add the celery and green onions to the melted butter
    3. Saute until the vegetables begin to soften
    4. Stir in the flour and saute for another minute
    5. Heat the milk until it is warm
    6. Then add the warm milk to the saucepan and whisk to combine and eliminate the lumps
    7. Whisk in the heavy cream, tomato paste, and the Old Bay Seasoning
    8. Bring to a low simmer and continue to cook until the Bisque begins to thicken
    9. Stir in the crab meat and the shrimp and heat until the meat is heated through
    10. Top with fresh parsley as a garnish
