Chocolate Chip Cookies

Everyone is going to fall in love with this easy chocolate chip cookie recipe. The cookies taste so good and have a crispy and chewy texture.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup salted butter at room temperature
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Whisk the flour with the salt, baking soda and baking powder.
  3. Cream the sugars and butter together, then beat in the eggs and vanilla.
  4. Mix the flour mixture into the sugar mixture.
  5. Mix in the chocolate chips.
  6. Now roll 2 or 3 tablespoons of dough into a ball and repeat with the rest of the dough.
  7. Arrange the dough balls on a parchment paper lined baking pan.
  8. Bake for about 8 or 9 minutes, then take them out of the oven when they are just beginning to brown.
  9. Leave them in the baking pan for a couple of minutes and then let them cool completely on a wire rack.

Notes

Variations and Substitutions:
Sub chopped chocolate or chocolate chunks for the chocolate chips if you like, or use another extract in place of the vanilla.
