Chili Cheese Dog Bake Dinner

Chili Cheese Dogs have always been one of my favorite foods. There used to be a restaurant that sold the best Chili Cheese dogs and Rootbeer floats.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tube refrigerated Pizza Dough
  • 4 large bun length hotdogs
  • 4 Cheddar Cheese Sticks
  • 1 can Chili (you can use no beans or one with the beans)
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • Parsley chopped for garnish

Method
 

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 375*
    2. Pour the chili into a bowl and heat in the microwave
    3. Pour the heated Chili in the bottom of a 9x9 baking dish
    4. Roll the pizza dough on a flat surface
    5. Cut the dough into 4 equal rectangles
    6. Place a hot dog and a cheese stick in the center
    7. Fold the ends of the dough up over the hot dog
    8. Then roll the dough around the hot dog to cover the entire hot dog
    9. Place the wrapped hot dogs and cheese in the baking dish on top of the chili
    10. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until golden brown on the top and cooked through
    11. Remove from the oven and brush with the melted butter
    12. Sprinkle the parsley over the tops, and sprinkle with the garlic powder
    13. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Can I use Crescent Roll Dough for these ?
You could, however, the crescent rolls are not as sturdy as the pizza dough. The pizza dough will hold the weight of chili and the hot dog with cheese.
