Best Italian Bake

This Italian casserole is loaded with Italian Sausage,  gooey cheese and your favorite pasta.

Ingredients
  

  • 16 ounces Pasta cooked al dente, I use shell macaroni
  • 1 pound Italian Sausage cut into slices
  • 2 jars Spaghetti Sauce your favorite brand and flavor
  • 2 bell peppers diced, Red
  • 1 onion diced
  • 1 pound boneless Chicken breast cut into pieces
  • 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese shredded
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Black pepper

Method
 

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 325*
    2. Lightly spray a 9x13 casserole dish with non stick sprayIn a skillet over medium high heat, add the Olive oil
    3. Add the Chicken pieces into the skillet and begin cooking and stirring the chicken to get each side
    4. Add in the Italian Sausage
    5. Stir in the onion and bell pepper and continue cooking until the meat is cooked through
    6. Season with Italian Seasoning, Salt and Pepper
    7. Drain excess grease from the skillet
    8. Mix in the pasta sauce and pasta
    9. Stir then pour into the prepared casserole dish
    10. Top with the shredded Cheese
    11. Bake for 30 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly
    12. Serve with your favorite Side dish

Which shape of Pasta is best to use?
This is an easy answer. You choose the shape of pasta that you like the best. Whether that is spiral, rotini, elbow or shell, the choice is what you like best.
