Banana Pudding Cake

This is seriously Grandmas’ Banana Cake recipe, with some minute changes that are bound to make everyone smile ear to ear.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1 box Banana pudding mix instant and sugar free
  • 1 cup Butter
  • 1 ⅔ cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 egg whites
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tsp Vanilla
Filling:
  • 1 ⅓ cup Milk
  • 1 box Instant Vanilla Pudding sugar free, instant
  • 1 cup Cool Whip Whipped Topping thawed
  • 2 Bananas large, sliced
Topping:
  • 3 to 4 cups Cool Whip whipped topping
  • Vanilla Wafers
  • Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • Whipped Cream use the Can type spray topping

Method
 

  1. 1.Preheat the oven to 350*
    2.Grease 2 round cake pans liberally
    3.In a mixing bowl, combine the butter and sugar together
    4.Add in the eggs and egg whites
    5.Add the vanilla and beat again
    6.Add in the flour, baking powder, pudding mix, and beat until smooth
    7.Add in milk and beat until smooth
    8.Pour the batter evenly between the two prepared pans
    9.Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until the cake is done, test with a toothpick
    10.Remove to a wire rack and let cakes cool completely
    11.In a bowl combine the pudding mix the milk and 1 cup of Cool Whip. Whip until smooth and place into the refrigerator to thicken and chill while you cool the cake completely
    12.Place one cake layer on a plate and level the top of the cake off
    13.Spread the filling mixture over the top of the layer
    14.Slice the bananas and place them on top of the filling mix
    15.Place the second layer on top of the first layer
    16.Cover the outside of the cake with the Cool WhipThen decorate with Spray whipped topping and decorate with the Vanilla Wafer cookies
    17.Drizzle the Sweetened Condensed Milk over the top of the cake as a finishing touch
