Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1/2 cup diced onion

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 385°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Add the ground beef and diced onion to a skillet over medium heat. Cook for approximately 7 to 10 minutes, breaking the beef into small crumbles, until the beef reaches 160°F and the onion softens.
  3. Carefully drain excess grease from the skillet.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and evenly combined. Remove from the heat and allow the filling to cool slightly.
  5. Unroll the refrigerated crescent dough and separate it into eight triangles. Cut each triangle into two pieces if making approximately 16 smaller bites.
  6. Place a small spoonful of the beef and cheese mixture onto each piece of dough. Reserve any filling that does not fit.
  7. Fold the dough around the filling and pinch the edges firmly to seal.
  8. Arrange the filled bites on the prepared baking sheet, leaving approximately 1 inch between them.Order Steak Boxes
