Does anyone ever feel like there’s just not enough hours in the day to get everything on your to-do list done? Ugh I feel that way every day. Between working on the farm, trying to get all of my homework and class material done before the due date and working on my blog, the blog has been taking the backseat. These classes that I’m taking are just not as easy as I had hoped. There’s just reading, reading and more reading every day. I got away without having to take Biology or Government for my Associates degree, but now I have to take them… My last GenEd courses and I’m done with them (can you tell I’m excited)!! Government has never been a strong point for me and well when you have a teacher who is more anal than your anal… it doesn’t help anything! The government screws us all anyways so whatever! Our countries fate is all in the hands of God no matter what! Enough talk about school though… I’m tired of it already and I have another 5 weeks before 3 of my classes are over. So here I am doing one of the many things I do best 🙂 ….. procrastinating!!
Since our last meeting we’ve had two more new babies, gotten 75 percent of the garden planted and lots of thunderstorms (continue praying for all those effected including the horrible OKC tragedy). We also finally got our soybeans planted; fields dried out enough after all this rain we’ve been getting. Ohh and I’ve also done a little baking. Yesterday when I actually started writing this I decided I just wanted to bake instead so I whipped up a Cherry Cheesecake and some cookies… I promise the recipes will be coming! My oldest brothers birthday was on the 20th and instead of a cake he insisted on a Cherry Cheesecake so I finally got around to making it for him…. Just in time for the camping this weekend.
Hopefully with all the Memorial Weekend activities that everyone has the weather holds off and is a nice one. They’re calling for storms here, but we shall see. Right now you should see my view. It is absolutely beautiful, but the bugs.. ugh I hate bugs! They’re one of my least favorite things on this planet. Why do we even need bugs? They seem so useless and annoying. Is all they do is annoy you and bite you. Grr… bugs just go away! But back to my view…. my nephew is weed-eating trying to get the camp ready for this weekend and I’m setting on the side-by-side looking out through the beautiful, lush, green trees to the river flowing quite quickly downstream. My nephew calls this place Camp Walking Eagle. I have no idea where he came up with that name at, but it’s deep down in the hills behind a family friends house. Just beautiful, but you have to love nature! Nature is such a wonderful thing.
